Long Shot Productions was first created by Robert Kelly for the express purpose of pitching his passion project film, called “Mouthpiece”, in the hopes of seeing the story of his life on the big screen. In 2013 he brought Dr Richard Tavernaro on as President. Since 2013, Long Shot has grown into a full-service production company, producing both their own content and being hired by others to produce their projects.

To date, Long Shot Productions has produced 19 Films (with several more currently in development and preproduction), as well as creating and managing an International Film Festival (the Cobb International Film Festival) and an International Filmmaking Competition (Film Racing).

In 2022, Long Shot Productions began a production partnership with Last Dance Creatives. This partnership has so far resulted in three completed feature length films with a significant roster of future features planned.
